When you can't track a match
Why the tracker might not be there, and what each message means.

Track Events isn't in the menu
- It's too early. The option only appears from 15 minutes before kick-off. Nothing explains this — the option simply isn't there yet.
- You're not backroom staff. The whole match-actions menu is hidden from players.
- The match is cancelled. On the web, a cancelled match has no actions at all. The app still offers the Event Clock on a cancelled match.
"Only the manager can track match events."
You opened the tracker on the web as a staff member who isn't the manager. On the web only the manager can record events; on the app, any backroom staff member can.
Nothing stops you late
There's no cut-off after the match. You can keep recording after full time, or come back days later and fill a match in. Archiving doesn't block it either.
Inside the tracker
- The pitch won't take a tap. A saved passage is replaying under the clock. Move the clock off it.
- Done is greyed out. The passage is empty, or you've picked a corner without placing its delivery.
- A player is missing from the list. Whoever played the previous ball is left out, because a player can't pass to themselves.
- "Shot must be on target for a goal." A goal has to be placed inside the goal mouth. Record it as a shot instead.
- "No substitutes named for this match." Nobody is on the bench in the line-up.
- The clock won't go any further. Each period has a ceiling — a 45-minute half stops at 75:00.
No end-match button
There isn't one. A match counts as finished three hours after kick-off, which is when Cancel Match becomes Archive Match.
